2009 Far Western HighlightsXander Gomez - Xander was the stud of the meet! He placed 5th in the 200 Free, 8th in the 50 Fly, 5th in the 100 Fly, 4th in the 200 I.M., and 2nd in an AMAZING 400 Free. Kenya McCray - In her second Far Westerns trip, Kenya made finals and placed 5th in the 50 Fly, 6th in the 100 Fly. Ebony McCray - Ebony had a good meet considering she was sick for most of the trip, but she battled through it. Sieara Kling - I was ETREMELY proud of Sieara! She swam a full list of events, but more importantly she learned a few lessons about competition and handled every good or bad situation, very we ll. Olivia Bender - Swam in her first Far Westerns and did extremely well in both of her Breaststroke events. Anissa O'Connell - Swam in her first Far Westerns and did a fabulous job in the 50 and 100 Breast. Marianna Letz - She swam a long list of HARD events and did extremely well! Marianna placed 6th in the 200 Fly and 5th in the 400 I.M. Ryan O'Connell - Ryan was another WSF swimmer with a GRUELING meet schedule, but he did an outstanding job in every event. WSF RELAYS - The 10 and Under Girl Relays were AMAZING! Olivia, Sieara, Ebony, and Kenya all swam hard for each other and WSF. They placed 4th in the Medley Relay and 5th in the Free Relay. Great Job Girls! *Emily and Allison Kopas became members of the Silver Fin Family this summer and traveled with us to Far Westerns. Both girls had an UNBELIEVABLE meet. Both making multiple finals, both broke their team records, and Emily swept every Breaststroke event. I was GREAT having them with us this summer! |
